When friends ask me to shoot their weddings there always feels like slightly more pressure than usual, but it always helps when the venue is as picturesque as Caer Rhun Hall, near Conwy, in North Wales. Caer Rhun Hall is a hidden gem of a wedding venue, and one I have not worked at before.
Angela and Jamie were also blessed with great weather and plenty of "up for it" party guests, so I knew that I was in for an entertaining evening.
After a tearful service in the neighbouring chapel, it was only a stone's throw away to the venue. Most of the guest walked there and Angela and Jamie were driven in a series II Land rover, what better means of transportation?
The afternoon consisted of champagne under the canopy of one Caer Rhun Hall's giant cedar trees and I was left to my own devices shooting reportage wedding photography. The afternoon quickly turned into evening and after some great speeches, I nipped outside with the bride and groom to grab a couple of shots using the last last of the day.
I stayed until late in the evening and left at the point when the Jager bombs came out.
Cracking wedding guys, congratulations to you both and see you next time you're up North!
