Tros Yr Afon is a beautiful little wedding venue on the island of Anglesey, near to Beaumaris. The perfect place for a couple, like Nina and Joss, who want an outdoor wedding in a natural setting, surrounded by Welsh charm. Tros Yr Afon is an old Welsh farmhouse set in it's own grounds, and only a pebble's throw from the Menai Straits, http://www.trosyrafon.com/
Nina and Joss booked both Kristin and myself to help with their day, as they are both in full time professional careers that wouldn't allow much time for wedding planning. The plan was for a three day event, starting with a welcome BBQ on the Friday night, wedding on Saturday and a very lazy brunch on the Sunday. This also allowed them to maximise the use of the tipi they had booked from All About Me, http://www.marqueesandevents.com/
With Joss being an ex wedding photographer, there was a great deal of consideration with regard to their photos. They wanted a 'first look' moment down at Penmon Point and then onto a couple of other locations for other photos. With the weather on our side, the day went to plan and it was onto Tros Yr Afon for the ceremony, where their guests were all waiting in the gardens for the outdoor wedding ceremony.
With the bride being from Norway and the groom from France, the day was an international party that carried on well into the night. I left Kristin at the venue to get back for an overnight edit and surprise slide show that was shown to the remaining guests the next day and we were both back on duty in the morning to prep for their brunch and games on the lawn.
Another wonderful wedding, with Mr and Mrs W both working non stop to make sure that the guests had a great three day party. We absolutely love jobs like these, maybe all weddings should be three day events?
